Quick Listing Tool... gone!

After having sold thousands of items using the "Quick Listing Tool" with ease, i've been told by ebay that I was switched to the "Advanced" tool, and that they cannot switch me back to the QLT. Apparently, the concept of being able to use one's smartphone to take photos, edit them, and download the photos onto one's computer worked so well, ebay just had to go ahead and figure out a way of making it MORE complicated. Help!

Hello @athammaus ,

Sorry to hear about the frustration with being moved over to the advanced tool. You should be able to access the quick listing tool at the top, the link will say "switch". If that is missing, Click Here to be directed to that page.

Thanks for your reply!

Quick Listing Tool... gone!

Thank you for your reply.

I no longer have the option to "switch" back to the QLT, nor is there any option to do so anywhere in the link you included. When I talked with somebody at ebay by telephone, I was told that I had been switched to the "Advanced" tool, and that I couldn't switch back to the QLT.

My only options for downloading photos to my listings now seems to be directly off my computer or off a website. The quick/efficient method of downloading photos to the listings directly from my phone's Gallery no longer seems possible. I'm now effectively dead-in-the-water and cannot do new listings. Please advise.

From the FAQ in the "HELP ?" sidebar:

Why don't I see the 'Switch to quick listing tool' option?

The advanced listing tool is more suitable for some members, so the Switch to quick listing tool option is not available to all sellers.

...Amazing! Somebody at ebay seems to think that they know what's more "suitable" for me... than ME!

The fact that i'm unable to do new listings now should illustrate just how "suitable" their forced change is.

Update:

Although -contrary to what I was told here- the QLT is irretrievably gone, I was able to link my phone to my laptop, and using OneDrive, figured out how to post photos to my listings from the computer, using photos taken with my cell phone.

Ebay has shown a history of complicating simple procedures, by introducing changes in the name of "progress".

Like many others here who have been ebay users for many years, i'm once again forced to adapt to these changes, no matter how foolish and inefficient they may seem. I am happy to be able to do some new listings, nonetheless.

And somebody ELSE at eBay ( @Anonymous )  isn't aware of this policy and is giving out bad advice.

Jacob I don't see that switch link. Is there any way to get back to the quick listing tool? The link you provided still opens up an advanced listing form when I try and list something.
