Pixel 3 APP Problem

I got a new pixel 3 phone and the app when you look up any category it only refreshes ever 10 seconds. My old I phone 6 it refreshes ever second.  Also when you leave up ebay and put the phone in sleep mode and come back in ebay it will not refresh at all. Also if you click on an item it refreshes ever second. When you come back out of the item it does not refresh at all in the category.  I need this pixel 3 to refresh ever second. Please ebay will you get the engineer program department to fix this APP  ASAP.
