How to remove variations by using FileExchange?

For example, I have a listing with 4 variations, let's say red, yellow, blue and green.

Now I will not restock green anymore, so if I put 0 at green's quantity, then the customers will see "green (out of stock)", and they will keep asking me when would I restock green...

So I want to remove the green variation, I know I can do it via the website interface, but I have too many listings and I prefer to do it via FileExchange.

I tried to use "revise" action, and delete the green line, but it does not work...

Could anyone help me with this? Thank you.

Sorry, from your opening comment, it appears you may have tried the above. If so, please confirm. We will have a better understanding of the issue.

Note: While FileExchange has some of the best documentation of any eBay tool, it has not been updated sine 2015. Many new features have been added and some depreciated since then. Some new eBay features are not available in FE, and some do not work as would be expected.

I have an old test variation listing that I could test with. May need some updating. But we can find this answer.

Yes, page 33 works.

If a variation has had no sales, you can change its name by deleting the old variation and adding a new variation. Or you can delete the variation entirely.

In File Exchange, you would precede the old variation row with the "Delete" action verb. You could also add a new variation row with no action verb -- all of this under the same master record that uses the "Revise" action verb (pg 33-34).

To modify, add, or delete the details of existing variations, be sure to copy the variation names exactly and make sure that the master record includes ALL of the variations that are to be added, modified, or deleted, or that will remain unchanged.
