File exchange - Add Failure 37 "Error - Input data for tag Condition> is invalid or missing."

Hello,

I am new to ebay and would like to upload my products on ebay with csv but i am getting following failure:

Failure 37 "Error - Input data for tag <Item.ShippingDetails> is invalid or missing. Please check API documentation.|Item.ShippingDetails|"

My upload reference number is 968430763.

Here is excel file that i generate csv file from it.

Does anybody know how to fix the issue?

There are some issues with the spreadsheet, and I will cover that. But first, you have a new account. In that case, you will have to verify your account information, with eBay, before you will be allowed to create many listings. Since you are based in Turkey, you may not be able to list your first item until you do this.

Since it has been a while since you first created this account, the email you received, when you opened this account, probably has a stale link in it to verify your personal information. In this case you will have to contact eBay. This is an expensive call from Turkey, so use the social sites listed below to contact eBay.

I will cover the spreadsheet in the next post.

Thank you for your reply. When i created my account i was living in Turkey but now i have moved to Germany and i think i need to ask ebay to update my location in their system. Is this right?

As to your spreadsheet...

a) Since your item is located in Turkey, the Action header in cell A1, should have 'Country=TR'.

b) As per the title of this post, the FileExchange processor is not seeing your condition value ('1000'), which should be valid, for the 'Other Women's Clothing' category. This means that you have a line feed in the Description. FileExchange stops processing a line, when it encounters a line feed. So, all past the line feed is treated as a new line. All other entries after that will be processed as a new item line. Since the 'new' item line does not have a valid Action verb, you should get an error for that line as well.

This included line feed often occurs when you use a word processing program to configure your description. Word processing programs include all kinds of control characters, of which, the line feed is a common one. In other words, do not use a word processing program to copy your description from.

Here is a utility that you can download to paste your descriptions into - http://pics.ebay.com/aw/pics/pdf/us/file_exchange/FileExchangeDescriptionUtility.zip . That utility will remove linefeeds from your description. Note that when you click on that, the utility is downloaded into your download directory, but you will see just a blank screen. it is ok, the file is downloaded. Just go to your download directory, then double click on the file to open it. You can then paste your description into the box, then copy it to your FileExchange template (with no linefeeds).

c) Your image (PicURL) is not in https: format. eBay/FileExchange will not accept images from the http: protocol.

d) Your 'Location' field should have City,Country..not just Country. I do not list from a foreign country, so this may not be an error.

e) You are mixing payment return and shipping options, with Business policies. Since this is a new account, I doubt that you have defined these, but if you have, you can delete (or leave blank) the fields in your template.

So, leave the business policies (the last three fields in your template) blank, if you have not defined business policies.

f) In addition to e), and as per the other error you mention, you have not specified a ShippingService-1:Option. In your case, I would use 'StandardShippingFromOutsideUS'.

Try those corrections, then re-post if you have other issues.

Yes, you do. Go to your Account>Personal information and update all that apply. You may also wish to go to your Account>Addresses page, and update that. Again you may have to verify your personal information.

I do not know for sure, but you may be able to contact eBay DE (Germany) and get them to verify your personal information. If they will do this for you, you may save the long disance call.

To contact them, sign onto the German site (if you speak German) - https://www.ebay.de/ . Click on the Help and Contact (Fragen & Antworten) link on that site, call them, and make your request.

If you only speak English, you might try the UK site - https://www.ebay.co.uk/

Location is a required field. Your template is blank, for that field. Entr your 'City,Country'.

I noticed that you have some HTML codes in the Title and PaymentInstructions fields. The codes should be removed:

If you are listing on the US site, but are shipping from Turkey (or from Germany) I don't think there is any way the item will be "shipped to your address within 3 working days". Did you mean the item will be "dispatched within 3 working days", and trans-oceanic transport will then take whatever time the carrier takes?
