@shipscript I created a variations .csv and it uploaded but only one of my five varied same-type items has listed. They are tee shirts that are all the same size.
Should I upload my .csv here? Or what? I was very proud I got as far as I did, even if it didn't work exactly as I wanted. 🙂

You DO need the "RelationshipDetails" in the master record. The "Relationship" cell must be empty in the master, and you would leave the "StartPrice" empty as well ("Warning - Item level start price will be ignored). See the sample spreadsheet table at the bottom of this page:

I see you have a sleeveless tee for dogs that is auction format. Is that the listing? Variations are allowed only in fixed price format.
Otherwise, if that is not the problem listing, if you can copy and paste the contents of the Relationship, RelationshipDetails, and Quantity columns, we might find the issue there.
If a variation has a quantity of zero, without turning on the out-of-stock feature in account settings, then the zero quantity variations will not post.

Yes, that’s the listing. Too bad they aren’t all the same price. Thank you.
I plan on selling a variation that is the same price. Will that work with that?

Variations can have different prices. The problem here is that variations are not allowed in an auction format (there would be no way to manage all the different bids for all the different variations).
You may want to end that listing and try again with a fixed price listing. The price in the master record can remain empty, while each variation can have a different price and a different quantity. Adding the "best offer" option will give your buyers some pricing flexibility if you are unsure about setting the best price.

It’s great to know that they can have different prices. I will change the auctions to fixed listings for my store. Thank you!

@shipscript I saved the listing as a template and then filled out some more information after updating it to a fixed listing.
I’ll post my results once I’ve updated my .CSV. I’ll Probably be back to ask a couple of questions about column headings so that it matches what I updated in the template online.
Thank you again.

I'll check in occasionally. By the way, I made an error recommending Best Offer. The last time I checked, Best Offer is not available for variation listings.

OK thanks for letting me know about the best offers. I don’t think I’m going to do any more work on it today.

Hi @shipscript
Here is the link to the VARIATION listing:
I have no dropdown or other option to select a specific style.
Saved as .xls and then exported as .csv and it uploaded fine, per discussion in other post.
Format: FixedPrice
Duration: GTC
All five shirts are the same size. Different styles. Different prices. Quantity: One each style.
When I left the price out of the master record, I got an error that it has to be more than 99 cents or whatever, so I entered the lowest price of my shirts.
Relation is variation for all five shirts
Relationship details:
Main record is: Style=Mandela;Kayaks;Mermaid;Peace Love Paw;Sweetie
Variation records, one per line:
Style=Mandala Screen Print
Style=Kayaks Embroidered
Style=Mermaid Embroidered
Style=Peace Love Paw Rhinestone
Style=Sweetie Rhinestone
Note: I'm not sure why I left a row between each style, but I used the format of the .csv I created two years ago. I hope you can help me.

Only two things popped out immediately:
The "Relationship" column of the master record should be empty.
There should not be any empty rows between records.
The description references a sizing chart. Where can that be found?
04-16-2021 08:46 AM
@shipscript The size chart is a jpg file I'll add to the listing when adding the other pics.
I'll delete "Relationship" column of the master record and I'll remove the empty rows.
Once I upload, I'll let you know the results. Thanks so much!

I deleted the relationship and RelationshipDetails from the master record.
Error - Missing name in the variation specifics or variation specifics set.
"Warning - Item level start price will be ignored. The lowest start price from all the variations will be used for the listing's price.
I got one error and two warnings, but I did enter the lowest price for my variations
Warning - Item level quantity will be ignored. The sum of the quantities for all the variations will be used for the listing quantity.
This one: I only have five shirts total.

@shipscript here is a screenshot of my latest .csv. I don't mind uploading the .csv if I can.csv screenshot for variations

@shipscript Please ignore screenshot above and look at these two. The first one in my previous reply, hid the contents of the relationship fields. There are more fields but I don't believe they are the issue. Thank you!
