First off, I am aware that excel auto matically puts large numbers in exponential format and I am aware of changing the column value to "Numbers" with 0 decimal places to get the full number.
What I can't seem to fix, is that when I do this, the Item ID gets corrupted and it just appears as a number with a bunch of trailing 0's.
I've tried copying the scientific notation from the original excel file and pasting to another as "Value", but it still just appears as the full number with trailing zeroes and not the true item ID number. Does anyone know how to recover the true item ID number? I love to adjust my listings prices weekly, and doing it in file exchange all at once would save me so much time if I could just figure out this Item ID road block. I take it there is no way to change excel's default settings to load the numbers in Scientific notation is there?
Thank you!

@consoulgames - Thank you for submitting your File Exchange error on this Community Board posting.
I'm sorry that you are having issues with your CSV file from keeping the valid Item numbers.
As you know. You would've had to format the CSV file before you save the file. If this wasn't done before the file is saved, the Item numbers has already lost their value and end with zeros. If it's already 0's formatting it won't re-enter the value Item numbers.
What you can do is download a new "Active - File Exchange - Revise Price and Quantity" file and use this to make the weekly price changes.
1. Go to "File Exchange" page.
2. Click on the "Download Files" on the left.
3. Select "Active" for "Listings and Records".
4. For the "Download format", please select "File Exchange - Revise Price and Quantity".
5. Click on the "Save" button.
After soon as this file is available. Open it and immediately format the ItemID column as you are aware of doing. Please perform this step first before making any other changes. Save the file.
If you re-open the file again, it will re-open in Scientific format (Excel does this automatically), but you can re-format the ItemID if you need to make further changes. As long as the format is done with the correct ItemIDs before you save the file, ItemIDs will be saved properly.
I hope this helps.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to respond to this posting.

In helping others, I have seen in their files the same "rounding" error you are seeing, and it seems to be a function of the download/save process. Because your browser may be giving you the option of either opening the file or saving the file, I would recommend doing the opposite of what you are currently doing.
