Disabling Auctivia Flash Code Or Any other Flash Code

Hi Just thought I would share this..

Now that eBay is not allowing Flash Codes on listings, if you have Auctiva,  you can either;

Sign in to Auctivia and disable the gallery or get a token.. um.. or just disable it completly and go to,

 "My Ebay" > "Account" > "Site Preferences" > "General Preferneces" >Third Party Authorizations"

and then select whatever app you want to disable.

Hope this can help someone.

I don't know why Auctavia is making it seem such like a burden to disable the galleries etc. when eBay told us all about this almost a year ago.   Check out thier responses on Facebook to understand why i say that. They say you have to get a token..but I only used it once and my email address and username for them don't work.,. and I wasn't about to make another account.

 But on their end, it shouldn't be that hard to disable their flash according to some app developers I talked too.

You might check with Auctiva. Another member reported that Auctiva now has a process to change their code to be active content free.

Even though you have disabled the token, the code still may exist within your listings.

For Auctiva to access your listings to make any sort of change, you need to grant them access to your account, and that is what the token does (the token is an eBay security requirement).  When you revoke the token, they can no longer add or remove content from your listings.

Cancelling the token will prevent new scripts from being added to listings, but won't remove the old scripts.

Sellers who no longer use Auctiva may still have the underlying codes in their listings that need to be removed, even though the galleries no longer display.  If you can't sign up with Auctiva and grant a new token, then you'll need to remove the content yourself.  See the various self-service tools listed here:
