What do I do now?Help!!

In February I sold a Gucci coin purse to a buyer. Tracking showed it at her regional sorting center. It stopped there. She opened a case for a refund, which I did immediately, telling her that I felt she would eventually receive it. The USPS is getting slower every day. Some weeks later she asks for my address as it has arrive. I respond, and nothing. A couple more messages ( over weeks) and she asks for $6 for return shipping. I should have thought of that, and I immediately send $7.50 to have enugh to her requested Paypal account. On May 27.  Nothing. I have sent more messages asking for the return. Silence.  ebay says communicate. I have. I believe she has my item, my money, her money, will sell it and I can do nothing. ANy ideas? I have done all the ebay things, opened cases, filed appeals. I will get the black mark and she will have everything else. This is not right. I am back on ebay after many years away, and this is not encouraging me to stay.  What can I do?  Thanks in advance for any help!

When you refunded the buyer is under no obligation to return the item, although most honest people do. You gave the buyer more money to ship, they obviously kept that as well.
At this point there is nothing you can do other than write it off as a loss with your income tax.
How would you get a black mark? Since you took care of the buyer in the case she opened you won’t get a defect. The only time sellers get defects is when eBay is asked to step in by either party to handle the situation.

Yes, she does have your item and it's too bad she's not doing the right thing and either reimbursing you for the refund you issued or returning the item.

Add the buyer to your BBL and move on. She has to live with herself and her conscience.

Since your buyer is also a (sometimes) seller, karma might send her a buyer who might do the same thing to her.

Personally, I'd watch the account and see if she resells your item. I caught an INR buyer years ago and 18 months after having been reimbursed for an item that hadn't been scanned as "delivered," I saw that she was selling the item she claimed to have not received. I emailed and ultimately was repaid!

The money you sent to have it returned, you should be able to get it refunded, since they didn't use it for what it was for.

Open a case with Pay Pal.

Want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Independence Day.

Ha, ha, I understand it.  I was just hoping she would do the right thing. Yep, on the block list. I have been checking for her listings, but nothing. Scrolling through the category as well. You never know.  Thanks for getting back to me, and confirming my thoughts.
