If you've botched the case with eBay, you can go to PayPal (if you used them), or to your payment source. Good luck.

Timelines

Open a case.

The seller has 3 days refund or refund or to issue a return label if the seller is required to, or give you return shipping money if they are from a different country.

If the seller doesn't refund or provide a return label you have to return to the case and ask for help. If you don't ask for help after opening a case it will close in 21 days due to no activity.

Everything must be done through the case. Messages to the seller don't count.

 

If you paid with PayPal you can file a dispute there but PayPal will require you to return it at your expense. Your credit card might have different rules.

if you're able to resell it you might be better off doing that.

Did you actually open an item not as described case?

After opening the case, did you not return to it 3 days later and ask eBay to step in?

If you did not do that, eBay assumes the issue was settled and closes the case.

If you paid with Paypal, you have 180 days to open a case there.

Or, last option, you have a length of time to do a chargeback on your credit card.

Have you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers?

If the seller was in the US they should have sent you one through eBay. It they are outside of the US, it is more complicated.  If that's the case, contact customer service on eBay Facebook or Twitter by sending a private message explaining what happened. They might be willing to give you a courtesy refund since you didn't receive a label.

I mean they aren't going to be giving you a label if case is closed...
