Hello all...
I recently sold a brand new item...never opened and still sealed in the plastic wrap from the manufacturer. The buyer recently contacted me and said the item didn't work and wanted to return it for a full refund. Knowing the condition of the item, what would you suggest I do?
Thanks!

Accept the return and refund when you receive it. If it is not what you sent the buyer you can give up to a 50% refund and report the buyer.
Even though the item was factory sealed it doesn't mean it worked.

How to handle a return request as a seller | eBay
Wait for them to make the next move. If and when they do open an actual case with eBay, you need to take care of it promptly. If you don't, eBay might do it for you with the buyer keeping the item and you loosing your money or buyer could later open a CC chargeback with you losing your money and paying $20 to boot.
No returns does not mean no refunds.
All the buyer has to do is open a not as described return and you will need to accept it, even if it is not true.
