Recently had a first time buyer purchase a computer power supply from me. A week goes buy and I receive a return request stating it doesn't work and its defective. No problem, it was tested prior to being listed for sale so i know it works so i accept the return and provide a return label as usual. A few days goes buy and the return gets turned into a dispute (I'm assuming from the buyer). At this point I send the buyer a message asking politely what the issue is because I have had no prior contact from this customer. A week goes by, and eBay closes the case in the buyer's favor. I still have had no response from this buyer. Now I'm a little dumfounded by this as I accepted the return and provided a return label. Why would it need to be escalated to begin with? I just appealed eBays decision and lost the appeal with them stating they are sticking to their previous outcome. Meanwhile I never received the item back, how is this fair for me as a seller? Never given the opportunity to follow thru with the return process provided to me by eBay! Im pretty upset by this, and now I'm thinking to myself what if this happens with a higher dollar item. Any thoughts on this matter?

Did you upload the return label to the return case or send it to the buyer in a eBay message?
Or did you have eBay provide the return label?
Something went off on a tangent here. I don't get a lot of returns but have not had one go off the rails.
Do you remember exactly what was entailed by the "dispute"?
