Usually when you close a return, eBay assumes the problem has been resolved.
It's doubtful that you will be able to open another case.
Try Paypal if that's how you paid, or do a credit card chargeback.

I don’t think your solutions is fair at all to the seller…just do a chargeback because the buyer messed up the return. NO

Once you close a return it cannot be reopened @jhtruitt8hwg. For what reason do you want to return the item? Didn't like it? Showed up broken in pieces?
My first suggestion is to message the seller. A decent seller will work things out with you, despite the return being closed.
If you need more assistance, come back with more details.

OK, thanks for your input. In my experience, and that of others, once a buyer closes a case he opened on eBay, he is unable to open another. Perhaps you are better informed than I am about this.

I had one like that, and just ask the seller to return it and I would refund. It was the only way to resolve the problem.

I tend to agree with @myfrugalboutique on this one.
Having been on ebay since 1999, @jhtruitt8hwg isn't a newbie who's unfamiliar with ebay. The assumption is that a 24-year user would know the purchase/payment/dispute/return process or at least, should know it.
Firstly, the OP doesn't state the reason for the return request (NAD or remorse) although presumably, it's probably NAD since pictures are being added to the request.
However I agree that the seller shouldn't be dinged with another dispute or a chargeback and associated fees because of the OP's error in closing the ebay claim.
IMO, this should be a learning experience and hopefully, not too expensive a one.

Unfortunately, once you file a Returns Request and then close it, it cannot be reopened. If you paid with Paypal, file a return there if that is how you paid. Last resort is a chargeback with your credit card company.

thank you all for the help! I hope the seller will work with me

Thank you for your viewpoint. May I respectfully point out that another poster agreed with me that eBay will not allow another case to be opened after the first one was closed?
And also I did not just dredge up that statement off the top of my head.

That's correct, but my take on it:
- Always try to work it out with the seller before resorting to a payment dispute. Payment disputes can be financially harmful to the seller and eBay tracks buyers that file too many chargebacks. A decent seller will work with the buyer.
- We don't know if this was a remorse return or a 'not as described' claim. If it's remorse then a payment dispute would be dishonest. (And it was the buyer's error closing the return request.) Presuming it's 'not as described' because OP mentioned adding photos, the payment dispute option is available, but in my opinion should not be used unless the seller is not willing to work things out. Filing a chargeback should always be the last resort after all other options have been exhausted.

Did you notice that I made the same suggestion earlier and was kinda piled on?

more photos and detail
I have neve heard of a buyers return claim being denied because of a bad picture
its just not going to happen
the need to convince ebay about a return is not real
the majority of returns are all auto approved iff you file correctly
I am sorry this happened
you could still message the buyer and appeal to them. you dont knw till you find out
