@hallj54,

How long ago did you buy the item, and what is the reason why you want to return it. If you did buy it with this account, go to your purchase history and to the right of Orders you will see possibly All or Last 60 days. If it is set to last 60 days use the drop down arrow to expand the dates.

If you received the item over 30 days ago, you are no longer protected by ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG).  However, if you paid using PayPal and/or with a credit card, you may be able to file a claim through one of them. PayPal will have a record of the sale and they have a 180 day return policy, but you have to pay the return shipping.  Your card provider may offer returns from 90 - 180 days, and you would have to call the number on the back of he card to find out if you are covered, and what you have to do to do a charge back.

If you did buy as a guest, you should have received an email in your regular email account with the title Order Confirmed, it may be in a spam or junk folder.

Your bank account, PayPal or card statement, will always show "ebay commerce" as the vendor. However, the order number should also appear.  On your PayPal activity page the order number is clickable and it will open a page similar to your order details page. below that is a date by which you should contact the seller and if they don't respond click on the elegible for purchase protection button.

Thanks I bought the item less then two weeks ago and it doesn't work. I did not buy as a guest and it will not show up on my ebay purchases because even though I bought it on the ebay website it technically was billed differently to ebay commerce. I finally just had to have ebay step in.

No sir and it hasn't been over 30 days and I had no way of contacting the seller since there was no proof of purchase in my ebay orders since anything bought on eBay Commerce Inc doesn't show up in your regular purchases or orders. Finally had to ask eBay to step in. Thank you for you help.

Hi @hallj54

I’m pretty sure that ALL my eBay purchases show as ‘eBay Commerce’ on my credit card statement when I pay with PayPal … but that has never stopped me from filing a claim when needed.  [My items all show in my Purchase History.]

There must be some other reason for your difficulties … but unfortunately I can’t come up with one that hasn’t been mentioned already.

I appreciate all the help though nothing worked so I contacted ebay and somehow that purchase slipped thru their system. They stepped in and I got my refund. Again thanks a lot.
