Customer doesn't know how to start a return.

Buyer: I need to return this bc it’s not a licensed husqvarna shirt I have over ten shirt and every shirt has a husqvarna tag and your shirt does not

Seller: Sorry to hear you are not happy with the shirt. Let me assure you that the shirt IS a genuine Husqvarna shirt. It was purchased Directly from Husqvarna. I work at a power equipment store in Hawaii and we deal with Husqvarna all the time. All the power equipment shirts I sell are Genuine and come direct from the manufacturer. I want my customers to be happy so no problem on the return. Just go ahead and start a return through ebay. I will approve the return and even pay for the return shipping label. Ebay will automatically issue you a refund as soon as I get the shirt back.

Buyer: Well for one this is a real husqvarna license shirt I’ve been buying husqvarna clothing for about 15 years now and everything has a husqvarna tag and this don’t. And eBay wouldn’t let me open a return on this so said me a return label

Seller: The only way to do it is to start a return through ebay. Why wont it let you?

Buyer: No it won’t let me open one and i know this isn’t a real license shirt

Seller: I'm not arguing with you about the shirt. If you don't think it's authentic that's fine. I'll let you return it but the return has to be done through ebay. If you go to the transaction on ebay there should be a "return" button. Let me know if you continue to have problems. I will do my best to help you.

I'm trying to be as nice and helpful as possible with this buyer.

How would you handle this?

Customer doesn't know how to start a return.

Is this an experienced buyer? Have you considered giving him explicit directions about opening a return? Like: Go to the item in your Purchase History and click on "return item" or whatever the wording is? Or maybe you have already done that?

They have probably had their ability to return / dispute taken away because of abuse.

I wasn't even aware that ebay does that.  Do they?

But at this point, we have no way of knowing whether or not that is the case with this buyer, so we probably should not assume anything.

The buyer registered in 2005.

(341) feedback,  all for buying.

Feedback left for others is good.

No prob. If he comes back and says, "it doesn't work," still not providing any details, then I'd refer the buyer to customer service which he can contact at the bottom of that same page.

If the buyer has alot of feedback, then he is lying.  He just does not want to open a return because he has done alot of them.  Keep repeating that you will gladly refund his money once he opens a return.  Tell him that you can not issue a shipping label without him starting the return.   Repeat this everytime he emails you.

If he continues to pester you,  go ahead and report him to ebay.   Do NOT refund unless he opens a case.
