I purchased a 2-year protection plan for an HP printer I bought. I never received either (fraudulent seller). I was finally able to get a refund on the printer, but eBay refuses to refund the $9.99 for the warranty. This is a major scam on the sellers part. He/she will not respond to messages and refused the return/refund on both. Is there any recourse? I am shocked eBay refuses to take action on such an obvious scam. And apparently, there is no way to contact a human to discuss this. Thank you.

Contact the warranty company using contact info in messages they sent about your purchase.
They also put their number in the feedback they left for your warranty purchase:
"Thanks for buying a SquareTrade warranty. Call 877-WARRANTY if you need help!"

If you paid by credit card, contact your card company. That warranty is from a third party and are often worthless.

Thank you!
I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they refunded my money instantly, so that was cool. But the bigger problem is how easy is was for the seller to scam me. Lesson learned.

Allstate square trade warranties can be cancelled by calling them or going on their site.
There is not a way to cancel a warranty purchase on ebay.

I appreciate all of the responses. Thank you everyone!

Fwiw, the seller didn't "try to scam you". The All state warranty is put onto seller's listings by ebay. The sellers have nothing to do with it, they can neither add it or delete it.

Yet, eBay claims they can’t refund it because only the seller can. Interesting…

The "seller" in this case would be the company which sold you the warranty, not the ebay seller you purchased the goods from.

Purchased a refurbished IPHONE X for $259 that came with a allstate warranty, lost display 6 months later , then tried to file a claim , first problem was allstate refused claim cause they said warranty was purchase may 6 and phone was purchase may 20 and they did not aline, so contacted seller , kick me back ebay so no help , ebay said over 60 day protection period , so kicked me back to allstate , after 23 calls to square trade & allstate plus 12 hours of phone time was able to get a rep which is out of country to get claim filed . At first they said was under factory warranty (wrong) filed a claim with apple and got a non warranty estimate of $549 to repair, for a $259 phone , so sent a est. copy and then allstate wanted me to take to apple and pay repair bill and send it to them and in 2 days was pay it back , no wasn't driving a 100 miles to do that , know they are to email me a label to ship & they said at that point once they receive it will provide me with refund , that is yet to be seen . But the point is after 20 years as a Ebay member ebay should have control of warranty company that sells there product on there platform and have some type of controls of sellers that say item has a one year factory warranty but after sale will no respond to any warranty request of info or address to process or even provide a reply at all , again out side window of 60 day protection so Ebay wipes there hands of it also .So guess what no more purchases of warranties , no more purchase of ebay refurbished items, no more out of country purchases , means lower sales across board !!!!

Look the square trade warranty accounts feedback, I'd never buy into that.

Looks like most of those negatives are from people who couldn't figure out how to cancel the warranty on items the buyer returned, cancelled or did not receive.

I am having problems with the seller and eBay because of this 1 year warranty scam offered with some eBay refurbished items.Ebay and the seller are pointing fingers at each other and there's no warranty.I guess if the laptop croaks before a year ,I will just dispute the charges with my bank.

Did you happen to read the feedback of the seller of the Allstate warranty you purchased? 87.9% feedback score is awful and although they do a lot of volume, 660 negative feedbacks in the last month (!!) and 7549 in the last year should have told you that you might want to avoid them!
