Hi Trinton. I conduct all Ebay business on my Android phone. When using Seller Hub on my phone, the Overview Manage My Store link takes me to My Ebay unless I am in Desktop Mode. While in Desktop Mode the link takes me directly to Manage My Store. Glitch or intentional? Thank you.

Any word on when Lithium will fix the glitches in the community, to wit:  Hi <name> dropdown not working, Shop by category drop down not working and All categories drop down not working?

They were working for a few hours on Mon. afternoon but are broken now.

Using Win 8.1, Chrome, IE11.

I went to make a best offer on an item recently and a drop down menu appeared asking me how much time I want to give the seller to respond.  I had a choice of 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day and 2 days.   I have never seen this before.  And although I must admit for some sellers if I pick too short of a time frame, they might not even see my offer before time runs out, but as a buyer, I really really liked having this choice.

I don’t mind a seller accepting, counter-offering or declining my offer, but I really hate no response, because it keeps me from moving on to another seller for too long.

Since the day the time choices were available to me, they have not appeared again and I really want them available at all times. Any information if this buyer’s choice will become permanent?

I was recently looking for some books to give my daughter for Christmas.  She is an avid reader so I try to feed that desire of hers with a mixture of books at the holidays.  I found out quickly that it would be very nice if Ebay came up with a filter that could suppress E-books and PDF books.  Way too easy to pick one of those by accident.  It is annoying to have to search through them to find what you really want which is a paperback or hard covered book.

A filter would be nice.  I can see how the lack of this feature can annoy many buyers as it annoyed me trying to find what I was looking for.

Hi @alcoforever, while I don't have an update to share at this time, doug@ebay and I will touch base with Lithium for some of these concerns. We'll contact you if we need any additional details!

A handgun was sold on ebay yesterday.  Several users reported not being able to report it as a prohibited item as the Report button on the listing gave only one choice:  Copyright infringement.   At the same time, the report button on other items at random worked properly.  What gives?

Hi @kdkk123, this is something we have been testing out and are still reviewing data. We don't want to make any permanent changes that may negatively impact our Community. I'm glad to hear you liked this feature and will be happy to pass along your feedback as we continue to test and refine these options slight_smile

Hi @mam98031! I just did a quick search and see what you mean, a filter option would be really nice, I'll get that suggested.

In the meantime I found that adding 'paperback' or 'hardcover' to the book title in search tended to get me results that were physical copies.

I hope you're able to find your daughter some great reading material for the Holidays! If you're looking for a suggestion one of my favorites is 'The Solitaire Mystery', or the classic 'A Wrinkle in Time'. 🙂

An important question came up on a thread that needs some clarification in regards to cancellations and issuing a return label.

Sometimes a buyer will contact a seller with an issue regarding a purchase.  Maybe there is an issue and the buyer wants to return the item.  Through M2M the buyer and seller agree to do the return.  The seller provides a return label to the buyer from whatever source the seller has choosen.  No formal SNAD is opened.

Once the seller gets the item back, what is the next step.

In the cancellation process we use to have a reason that stated the item was returned for refund.  But Ebay has significantly reduced the reasons for a return and for something like this the only choice would be the buyer requested the cancellation.  Which isn't completely accurate, but the only real option for sellers.

When there is no SNAD in place I've always advised seller that are working directly with they buyers to file for a cancellation once the item was received back by the seller, select the reason that the buyer requested the cancellation [as they did request the return] and issue the refund from the cancellation.

I have recently been told I'm incorrect by a couple of experienced Ebayers.  So I'm just looking for clarification here.  I have not read that we are required to have buyer's open a SNAD, so if that is correct, then why is Ebay REQUIRING a SNAD?  Sometimes buyers don't want a claim for whatever reason they have.  And they aren't in a seller's best interest to have the buyer open a SNAD.  So as long as the buyer is happy, what is the proper process outside of the claims system?

The hi <name> was answered last week. Seems that it is not a glitch, but a change.  Suggestion was that you now move over to your name on the right and use the triangle to click, and sign out.

@Anonymous

Hi, I sent a message to the IOS Board days ago and doesn't appear there is much activity there.

My brother has an Apple phone. I asked him to view my listings to see what I may have to revise to make it more Mobile viewable. He viewed one of my items, sent me an email with a screenshot: what he accessed said I offer No returns which appears at the beginning of the view and again below where it details returns info. I flipped out, looked at my item on my laptop/desktop and it shows I offer 30 day with buyer paying. I also checked every one of my listings. All have 30 day returns, buyer pays.

I then went to the Seller Board and another seasoned poster accessed my item from her Android. It shows the 30 days. I then had my brother look up another of my items: same thing.

I have not heard back from the IOS Board. This misinformation between mobiles leaves me liable that if a non-Android user sees no returns, I may not be getting sales for that reason. Need some kind of reply back from someone. And the seller board poster shot me some places to go to to see if perhaps my Bros phone was ???. He is a mobile geek, so no problem on his end.

I ain't got the brains to make this up (Fantastic Beasts)

Hi @lecroy3, it doesn't seem like that is intentional. I'll go ahead and get this reported. Thanks!
