I'm trying to pay for something and I keep getting this error:

"We can't process your payment. Please select a different payment method or check your payment details, including your billing address."

 

I don't have a different payment method. All my money is in my PayPal balance. What can I do? I made sure my PayPal Billing Address and eBay Billing Address match too.

Have you verified that the seller ships to Canada?

 

I think that when a seller does not accept international payments, that is the error message that international buyers receive, and that is why it specifically mentions your billing address. You might want to contact the seller; they may not have intended to block all international payments, or may be willing to make an exception.

Yes, they do ship to canada. I think the error has to do with my PayPal account though, because I can't seem to send payments via Friends and Family either

It sounds like you may be caught in the PayPal change (due to change in Banking regulations) that occurred 3/29/19 where personal PayPal accounts can no longer use the PayPal balance to pay for anything unless a new PayPal Cash Account is created and attached. Not everyone got email notifications of the issue.

Many newer accounts had the Cash Account automatically created, but older accounts or accounts without current sufficient verification had to provide that info.

See the screenshot in post 4 in the following thread - if you don't see Cash Account or Cash Plus Account on you PP account then that is your problem. See post 10 for more info, and the other links below.

yup, customers are having issues making payments. As of yesterday I am still having customers directly contact us on how they can't make payment on ebays website with pay-pal. There is a few threads acknowledging about how many are having problems with check-out. It could be the new payment system kicking out paypal users or a glitch which they need to fix. Either way, I would advise in calling ebay as that is the only way to correctly find exactly whats going on or they might just tell you what they keep stating, it should be fix within 48 hrs. I keep recommending others to call ebay rather than wait around for answers here because enough customers bringing it to light will get something in motion.
