how to get tech support by email

How do I get tech support by email?
I tried calling twice and got disconnected as they said they had trouble
hearing. I then found 2 emails from customerhelp@ebay.com saying they
couldn't reach me by phone and inviting me to reply, so I replied to one,
got a reply asking for more info, and replied to that.
3 days later with no reply I replied to the other original email which got
a reply also from customerhelp@ebay.com telling me to call by phone and
saying "don't reply to this message.  It was sent from an address that
doesn't accept incoming email."
This is astonishing.  Can it really be ebay has no support by email,
which is more efficient for both sides?
When I sent emails I first got an "Undeliverable mail" reply but then 2 minutes
later another reply "Thanks for your email - we'll get back to you soon".
Is there a trick to get a reply to email?  I can't afford to lose another
40 minutes on hold even if I don't get disconnected.

Ebay.com does not have email but you can reach them on social media.
