ebay asking to enter password when you switch pages?

I've noticed for several months, at least since Dec. if not longer, that when I click on Sold items or Active items, among other pages, ebay will ask for my password again. It doesn't happen all the time, it's seemingly random. Then when I enter it (correctly), it pops up another password request and just repeats. Occasionally you can just hit back and click it again and it will go to the page. I've tried clearing my browser (Firefox) cache, making sure cookies are whitelisted, etc. and nothing seems to help. I've also tried both Chrome and MS Edge and they both do the same thing, so it's not just a Firefox issue. Anyone know what's going on?

I have gotten that too, usually when I've been signed in, listing items, making sales, etc..

then when I want to end a listing, I am asked to sign in again..

I only use a desk top for eBay stuff, and my connection is wi-fi...

IDK if that has anything to do with it...

but also everytime I log into my bank accounts on my desk top, I have to get a call to verify my identity, I'm guessing that's because of wi-fi too....

Just a formality I guess..?

At least I don't get the captcha verifications anymore, I used to get those allll the time and they were super annoying.
