Why can I no longer search within a specific category?

I used to be able to conduct searches within a sub category, but now I can only search within main categories.  Is there any way to get this function back?

It is still possible to search within a category, though perhaps not the way you are used to doing it.

In the past you could select a category, then enter some keywords and search within that category, and only see results in that category.

Now, in many cases, when searching like that, results are returned in "all categories" rather than the specific category the search was started within.

So instead of picking a category and then entering keywords to search that category, you can pick the keywords first, search, and then if you are using a desktop browser you can select the category you want to see results in from the tree of categories on the left side of the search results page.
