Variation Pictures Not Showing

I've been using variation listings for years. They have glitches, but I've figured out how to work around them and I avoid features that bring out the glitches.

Now, however, the problem is much worse. The basic functionality is broken. On a new listing, the variation pics no longer show up on the listing (they are still visible on the old listings).

I tried reversing the order of the attributes (Size first instead of Design) and that didn't help. Still no pics. The buyer can only see the default pic, none of the variations. They don't know what they are buying and buyers get hopping mad when they think they've purchased something that doesn't match the picture.

This is a serious problem.

I can work around it by adding all the variations to the default pic, but buyers are NOT good at choosing from pics with multiple items. They assume they get them all. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Last night whe I created the listing, I tried a couple of times to go back into the listing and turn variations on and off (in a couple of ways), hoping to goose it into working properly, but it didn't help.

Today, I noticed the pics still were not showing, so I tried again and now the pics are showing. It seems unlikely it would have been fixed between Sunday night and Monday, so I am guessing this is an intermittent glitch? Unfortunately, that kind of problem (like ancient listings being resurrected without the seller knowing) never seem to get fixed.
