I was up early this morning trying to check on my orders/listings. The system kept freezing and not letting me do anything. I cleared my cche/cookies & hit my refresh button...nothing. Started to call eBay & realized that they are not in yet. Finally seemed to work itself out until this afternoon when I went to print a shipping label. Same problem. Finally called & told there are system problem 7 wanting me to use Chrome (which I'm not crazy about). I've been using Firefox forever & generally have not problems with it and yes t is current. Anyone else with problems & why the push for Chrome? Thanks all.

Lots of folks have been reporting problems, particularly since last Thursday evening/Friday morning. Internet Explorer 11 users seem to be hardest hit: something on the main eBay page is causing IE11 to lock up or even crash. If users can skip past the main page using a link or bookmark, and if the sign in page doesn't kick them back to the main page, things seem to work better for them, apparently.
If there is a push for Chrome, it is likely aimed at Windows 7 users who can't upgrade to Edge without upgrading their OS.
I have seen a couple of reports of Firefox users running into problems, but I had assumed that the problems were related to the recent (possibly ongoing) changes conflicting with cache or cookies; I have not noticed any problems using the latest version of Firefox (or Chrome or Edge or Opera, though I use those much less and probably wouldn't notice if the problems were intermittent or subtle).
Generally, if opening a private browser window works and a standard browser window doesn't, I think the problem is likely related to cookies or cache.

Thanks for the reply. Today was the first day I've had problems. Cookies & cache were cleared. I hope tomorrow is back to normal. I'm on Windows 10 by the way. USPS tracking was down most of the day too.

Yes, this started a week ago and is not resolved yet. I'm on Windows 7 & IE 11 and not planning to change right now. No other issues on any other e-merchant site or any other website.
Please see my posts on other threads here at CB under Technical Issues. I finally got the attention of Alan, the Community Boards Manager, who said that they created a ticket to address this.
To all those posting "helpful" suggestions to switch to Chrome, thanks, but many users want the Problem fixed and soon. This was caused by bad eBay system update coding and needs to be resolved. It's only resulting in loss of Sales for Customers, loss of revenue for eBay and turning away Customers (Existing and Potential).
