Shopping Cart Checkout not working.

Just tried to purchase 7  items using the shopping cart to the tune of about $150.00.  Everytime I try and checkout, I get an error message saying "! Something went wrong. Please try to check out again."

I have tried multiple times. Logged out and in etc.

Anyone else experiencing this?

@morgantoys

Are all seven items from the same seller? Can you request an invoice? Paying directly from an invoice link might be able to bypass whatever problem you are encountering with the cart.

If some of the items are from separate sellers, try purchasing them individually, directly from the item pages.

You might try using the app instead of a browser (or vice versa) if possible. Or try moving some of the items to the "saved for later" list.

As a last resort, you might try signing in to another country site like ebay.ca -- each individual site has its own cart system. Take care you are not committing to buying the same item twice if there are multiple quantities available. Go to your purchase history and see if you can initiate payment there.

Also if the items have been in your cart for more than a day or two you may need to remove them and add them back.  This is because not all seller require payment with in the same time frame.  Unusually this setting is for buyers bidding on multiple auctions but since there is a new trend of buyers leaving items in carts indefinitely to try and get a lower price this setting is effecting multiple purchases.

Yeah, I've got that problem, too. I have no idea what's going on. Only 2 items out of 8 are from the same seller, and they offer a special discount at 5% if you purchase 2 or more of their items. I've used the app and my computer, but nothing seems to work for me either.

This seems to be an issue created when PayPal credit was taken over by Synchrony Bank.

Seems that if you reach the $99 threshold for the interest free 6 months, it will boot out a couple of items for bogus reasoning... BECAUSE... If you indicate you are going to purchase them separately, then PayPal credit is just fine.

I added and subtracted items and tried to checkout with PayPal credit for over 4 hours. That is the only conclusion that makes sense.

7/19/2019 Same thing happened while I tried processing 8 items for 112.00. I tried 4 times and, each time, I get the same error message.

I called eBay and they said to split the group to 2 payments to 4 - 5 items.

I said I am grouping paying items to over 99.00 so I can pay over 6 months.

I think the issue is with Synchrony bank.

I have had problems even paying the PayPal Credit account since Synchrony Bank took over!

If eBay insist on only allowing 4-5 items, in the cart, to be processed .... it may be a good idea because Its less money I have to pay.

So the seller, eBay, and Synchrony bank loses out!

Never had issue with Comenty bank, via PayPal credit, buying 13-19 items in cart!! Trouble now is with Synchrony bank ... taking over PayPal credit. Items in cart Has nothing to do with invoices. eBay needs to get there act together with PayPal credit!

Over 5 Cart items get Error message:

“We noticed a problem. Please review: your shipping details.”

Been a buyer since 1999 (30 years). I have come to the conclusion that it is NOT profitable for Synchrony Bank to allow an unrestricted number of cart items to fall under the $99.00 6 month interest free payment.

For the $ 99.00 cart payment to process and complete successfully, via PayPal credit, 6 months interest free, I feel that Synchrony bank is restricting the cart item to 5.

IF OVER 5 ITEMS - you get a RED error message “We noticed a problem. Please review: your shipping details.” pop up!! 😳!

I have concluded that it’s not profitable for Synchrony bank to allow small dollar amount purchases over a 6 month period interest free for $99.00!

The 5 cart item restriction also affects the $600.00 threshold 24 months interest free.

In the past Comenty Bank had random PROMOTIONS of $600.00+ purchases

and pay over 24 months interest free.

Synchrony, so far, is continuing the random promotion BUT the limitation in the cart is 5 items, for the payment process to complete successfully!!!

I am a buyer, only, have over 2500+ feedbacks, have made purchases, for the past 3 years, via PayPal credit, paying 10-19 cart items, and reaching the $99.00 to $600.00+ threshold; thus allowing payments between the 6 months to 24 months interest free period.

Again, having spoken to eBay (I had 8 items in my cart eBay and got error message when I used PayPal credit for the $99.99 threshold) ebay insists that I split my cart of 8 items to 4.

I told ebay I will NOT remove item from my cart, that this was never an issue with Comenty Bank via PayPal credit so why now with Synchrony bank?  Ebay opened a ticket regarding the error message.

I tested processing payment for 5 cart items and the above message does NOT APPEAR!

I said to ebay because of Sychrony Bank new cart limitation eBay will have LESS PURCHASES from me.

Being a COMPULSIVE BUYER THAT IS “OK”

with me, because the restriction would actually CONTROL MY BUYING and I would save money! 😅!

So EBAY AND SYNCHRONY BANKS LOST AND I SAVE $$$ 💴💰!

I have not seen morgantoys tag until after I spoke with eBay. I agree with Morgantoys in that there is something BOGUS going on since Synchrony bank took over!

If you ebay purchasers are having error issues with this PLEASE SPEAK TO EBAY!

I hope this helps!

This is the bogus glitch of the day I got:

"OOPSS!  There was a problem!.....The item you've selected was not added to your cart...."

But when I went to my cart, the item WAS added and WAS there.  I'm going to see if  anyone else is reporting these glitches at the Steiner's ecommerce site.  Might as well....

I see the error also when adding things to the cart using Firefox 3.6.24 (8 year old obsolete browser), but not using Firefox 31.0 (5 year old obsolete browser). But the items ARE in the cart, and the cart works fine.

That tells me it's a browser related issue.

So what's the huge problem? You know there is a bug, it's just a display issue, and you can buy you items if you just go to the cart.

I really don't see what giving the dogs at ECB more meat to tear apart - it isn't going to get anything fixed.

(I like ECB, and Ina's work, and report things to her on occasion, but the forums there are pretty inbred and most comments over the top - for most there the site should be called deathtoebay.com It's a circle jerk of "look there. eBay made another small mistake and should be razed to the ground." Totally non-constructive. But gives them a venue where they can cos-play with the pitchforks and torches.)
