I send out second chance offers regularly and lately I've had customers sending me a message saying when they try to take the offer, they get a error message saying that I don't ship to their address. These are regular customers, who I ship to daily.
Has anyone else had this problem. I tried calling eBay and they don't have a clue. Meanwhile, I am losing sales. Any help would be grateful!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I've just gone through the first four pages of topic listings here in the Technical Issues area, and not one thread shows a reply from an eBay employee. Isn't anyone monitoring this group?

We are down to one roving staff member, as the others have moved to other positions. Should get those positions filled within another week.

This board is a user forum; if eBay folks are reading here, they are not responding, aside from a few announcements.

Thanks, all; yes, I know that, but I was mainly marveling (sort of) at the fact that this group was dedicated to discussing eBay technical problems, and yet seemed to have little to no participation by actual eBay contacts, unlike the other groups here which have at least occasional responses.

IDK if my page to Brian worked, as I can never remember the proper nomenclature & who's still in a position that gives a you-know-what, but I can report that my buyer was able to purchase by doing so either outside the offer or maybe the offer ended, (she's not good at communication so IDK exactly what she did), but I saw she bought this AM & it wasn't for the offer price. So I just refunded her the difference to the offer price.

I have this 2nd chance issue now for approximately 6 weeks, consistently. Ebay just does not copy the shipping details from the original listing, no way to get around it except for using a seperate buy-it-now listing. After many mails with customer service they escalated it to their 2nd line but the last response was from 26/7. It's clearly a bug.

Yes! this problem started about 4 weeks ago. I have the exact problem. Spoke to a representative in India or somewhere and she had no clue what is going on! What are you currently experiencing? Seems to me that it is an ebay system problem, i.e. in the past the Second Chance Offer would pick up the S&H (Domestic or International) from the data in the original listing and now it does not.

Same here. Frustrating. The bay support contact in India (or wherever) has no clue and apparently has no way to escalate to someone who could look into the problem as s system bug.

This is happening to me also. I've contacted Ebay and they confirmed it is a system wide glitch. Apparently it has been going on for months. I'm surprised no one is talking about it. My work around is to manually put the shipping cost in and invoice and send. I can only put in USPS pricing so if it is an item going FEDEX I can't change the amout. This appears to be happening only on accepted offers which is a lot of my sells. I've had some buyers cancel and Ive lost several hundreds of dollars because of this. I'm not sure eBay is working on this. I'm sure it has to do with managed payments. It sucks and makes me sad that I Have to do so much extra work to make the sale. Have you had any resolutions?

I tried a 2nd chance offer again today, and now the shipping details are available. So bug seems to be fixed
