Promoted Listings Won't Launch/Select

I have just discovered the promoted listings campaigns and I decided to start one. I selected my auctions and set the ad rate and when I get to the final page, I'm unable to select "More Options" drop down, unable to check mark the "I agree..." box and therefore unable to launch the campaign.

I tried on both Chrome and Firefox and the seam results.

Promoted Listings Won't Launch/Select

Finally got it to work! I hadn't downloaded the older version of FF. When I did, I was able to check the box on the page to start my campaign. So strange!

So now - if I want to make sure I'm not going over my $30 per quarter credit, do I just stop the campaign at a certain time? How do I know when the quarter has ended?

Good for you.

(And thanks for validating my continued assertions that many of these "glitches" sellers and buyers are having are due to eBay incompatibilities with the latest and greatest versions of browsers)

Yes. You can keep an eye on your PL total on the PL dashboard by changing the date display on the upper right to the period of interest and it will display the amount.

When you get close to your quarterly $30 limit, go to your PL dashboard https://pls.ebay.com/plsweb/dashboard and pause the campaign(s). When the new quarter starts, you can go and resume them again (and probably have to re-assign listings that have fallen off)

►How do I know when the quarter has ended?

The million dollar question.

I think I may have seen an answer from one of the blues somewhere here at some point, but I can't find it (forum search engine leaves a lot to be desired)

@Anonymous
Can you enlighten tori_729 (and the rest of us) on precisely how "a quarter is defined in the $30/quarter Promoted Listings credit for TRS?

Is it simply Jan 1 - Mar 31, Apr 1 - Jun 30, Jul 1 - Sep 30, Oct 1 - Dec 31?
Or is it individual to each seller account and tied to invoice cycle dates?
ie: I'm on a 15th of the month cycle, so would my quarters be Jan 16-Mar15 to align with my invoices, etc
or would it be completely individual to me, when I started using PL, and be something like Sep 16 - Dec 15, Dec 16 - Mar 15, etc

Hi @berserkerplanet, happy to help clarify this; each seller eligible for a Promoted Listing quarterly credit will be issued a credit the first month of each quarter (January, April, July & October), though depending on the billing cycle this may not appear until the next months invoice (February, May, August & November). The credit expires at the end of each calendar quarter (March 31st, June 30th, September 30 and December 31st) and does not carry over. The Credit appears on your Account Summary and the Discounts and credits portion of your invoice.

If you want to know more specifically what to expect for your account or have any other questions you can contact promotedlistings@ebay.com to speak to our Promoted Listings team directly. I also want to share our Seller Center page on Promoted Listings as a resource for anyone with questions on this feature.

Thank you for that explanation Trinton.

I have one further question:  Is the credit eligibility period determined by the invoice date of the PL charges, or the next invoice period when the credit for those charges would be issued?

Example: Let's focus on the Jan 1 - March 31 credit quarter, and say I promote some listings that sell during the period Feb 16 - March 15. Those PL fees would appear on my March 15th invoice, I would pay them then, and a credit would be issued on my Apr 15th invoice the month after.

Does that credit on April 15 come out of the Jan-Mar quarter when the PL fees were paid, or does it come out of the Apr-Jun quarter when the credit is issued?

Thank you both, this is very helpful! So far no sales through this yet, but I will keep trying!

Glad it helped.

Stick with it. It's free and easy, and I do get some sales out of it (my sales volume too low to determine if those sales would have occured anyway, but I do get clicks, sales, and eyeballs out of PL)
