Item bought not showing up in Purchases

I bought an item recently. And was charged for it through PayPal but the tracking link I was sent goes nowhere. I have an item number and that’s it. Just wondering what my next steps are for getting my money back as it seems like I was scammed.

Does the listing appear among your recent orders shown on the Help & Contact page?

Is it possible you purchased the item using another eBay account, or as a guest? The account you are posting with was created a week ago.

If you purchased as a guest (without signing in to an eBay account) see here:

If not, and eBay does not contact you about that purchase, you may still be able to pursue a case through PayPal or your payment source.

If the seller can provide tracking that shows delivery you may have to obtain documentation from the shipper to indicate that the tracking does not show delivery to your address, or there is some other problem with the shipping -- if either the date or the weight cannot match your package.
