Followed links have stopped showing in purple

When I click on an item in a search result on ebay, as far back as I can recall until a few days ago, the link would turn purple and stay that way, even if I looked at the same search result in a new session.  I liked this because I could go back to a particular search and easily see which items I'd previously viewed and which ones I hadn't.  The purple links would persist if I closed my browser and then opened it up again later to look at the same search result.

Now if I click on an item, the link will turn purple, but if I close the tab and search again, it no longer remembers which items I've already viewed.

Maybe it's something local to me, but I tried it on 2 different browsers and the same thing happened.  Please bring back persistent memory of pages that have been visited.  The new way makes it harder for customers to sift through results to find hard-to-find products because it's no longer easy to tell what you've looked at already.

Followed links have stopped showing in purple

Hello, I am having the exact same problem. Links outside ebay stay purple just fine. It is annoying for me as well since I used this visual indicator to track if I clicked an item already or not. I can also verify I have this with 2 different browers (chrome and firefox).

Same problem here. I tried changing every setting available thinking it was on my end, but now find out it isn't. The purple "highlighting" STILL works in "Saved Sellers" but has quit working in "Saved Searches". If it works in one category, why can't it work in both?

PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

I am very displeased about how Ebay is acting on this. I contacted their customer support. They kept insisting it had to with my cookies and/or cache. I followed all their instructions on deleting the cookies/cache and then accepting again. I knew from the start it had nothing to do with it since I have the issue on multiple browsers. My son tried it on his pc as well and he had the exact same issue despite he never ever uses Ebay.

In the end they claimed it was my anti-virus program and then said they could not provide help any further. Of course it's not the anti-virus! What an abhorrent example of customer service, absolutely disgusting. I am considering my options regarding continueing with Ebay or seeking customer-friendlier places. I have been a customer here for over 20 years, but this gives me serious doubts about this place.
