I have been a member of ebay since 2009. Over the last 3 weeks I keep getting logged out. Sometimes it's when I am bidding on an item and sometimes when I am just searching the site. It always takes me back to the login page. I called ebay and they suggested changing my browser to Google Chrome, unfortunately that hasn't helped. I ran a complete scan on my computer and everything seems to be fine, I am the only one who uses my computer so I know nothing has been changed.
Is anyone else having this issue and if so have you found a fix for it.
This is beyond frustrating.

I am having the same problem!! I did the same things... new password, scans etc. It is driving me nuts. Now it logs out every time a choose, "add to watch list." EVERY TIME!! Also, I was trying to bid on an item and missed it because when I went to bid it logged me out. By the time I logged back in the auction was over. I have checked all my settings... it is exasperating. I make jewelry so I am bidding and buying stones all the time so I am beyond annoyed.
I was getting ready to call ebay, but it doesn't sound like it did any good...
If you hear anything let me know!

I'm having the exact same experience as zosia91 and it's driving me nuts also! It happens when I"m both bidding and selecting Watch for an auction item.
I've been using Chrome for the past year or so, Prior to that Firefox and never had this issue till about a week or so ago. The most annoying aspect is that it's caused me to lose out on some last minute bids. Not good.
What is going on? Is eBay aware of this? Anyone know of a fix for it?

Me too! Just lost several items because it logged me out when I tried to bid. Ticking the "keep me logged in" box does nothing.
Great way for Ebay to lose sales and customers. They need to get this fixed fast.

Frequent eBay sign-in requests are often a symptom of your browser having trouble handling cookies.
Make sure your browser is set to accept cookies and that the eBay.com cookie is not somehow blocked.
eBay has made some changes recently, and that increases the chances of a cookie becoming corrupted. It might be a good idea to erase your eBay-related cookies and clear your temporary internet files.

Cookies already cleared. Nothing changed on my browser. The only thing that changed is the Ebay updates. They need to fix the fault.

Which browser are you using?
It's entirely possible that eBay updates have broken something, but is it broken for everyone (or everyone using the same browser version), or just you? Or is it an interaction between browser extensions or add-ons? Anything special about your setup?
If you run into the same problem with multiple browsers, then it's more likely the problem is on eBay's end.

Since yesterday 8/17, Ebay keeps loggin me out also. It will last for maybe 10 minutes then i have to enter my name and password to log in. None of my other web sites are doing this and i have cleard cache and cookies so i assume its on there end. i wonder if they are aware of this as it is a pain in the ass to keep signing in.

One more thing to check -- under Account Settings, Site Preferences, all the way down at the bottom under Other Site Preferences, make sure the is a check in the box that says "Keep me signed in on this computer". If not, check it and hit "Apply".
Obviously, only check that box if you are using your own personal computer.

You can not stay logged in because Ebay made a change and thought it unnecessary to test before sending it live. It would have been simple to log in and then close the page to see if it was holding the password. It would have been simple to see if the stay logged in feature was working but no. As with all of the changes they have been making it would cost to much for the outsourced idiot implementing the changes to test to see if they did their work correctly so now users can not stay logged. You would think keeping buyers online and able to make purchases would be a priority. Yet again ebay has slipped up but wants buyers and sellers to trust them with their bank info over PAYPAL what a joke. The company they are switching to cant even run ETSY's site properly. They are having the same issues as on Ebay and despite Ebay insisting it will save sellers money their current rate is twice that of Paypal. Sellers will not be able to get their money instantly like on Paypal so shipping labels will not be able to be purchased till the money is cleared by them. However the first hurdle is that most of the time buyers can not complete a purchase. You would think that close to a whole summer of constant problems someone at Ebay would realize this is a bad idea and stop doubling down on stupid choice.
But then again ebay cant do something simple like teach its spell checking program to recognize their own name lmao.

Same issue here and its just getting more annoying as the odd time i also get script error on ebays pages so then the page closes and once i reopen new page i have to relog in and enter password, this is getting to be a pain
If it aint broken why fix it, but i guess the IT group is all a bunch of kids
