Ebay freezes, especially when you try to use the search box

It's been years since this issue was brought up and it's still happening. I've started seeing this issue for about a year now and I have yet to find a solution. I think the issue is that ebay is sending your info and loading ads in the background. It's either stuck in a loop, or is processing a lot of your information without your knowledge and it's making the website virtually impossible to use. I've tried all sorts of adblocks.

The error is sporadic to reproduce. You just go to ebay, click on the search box, and start typing, and the entire website just seizes up. I don't understand.

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different one?  How fast is your internet connection?

Same issue. When I use the search box the page loads extremely slow and every change thereafter is equally as slow or slower. When I forego the search box and drill down via the shopping categories, the page loads really fast. Still fast when using the filters to narrow things down, but then you're forced to sift through thousands of listings that aren't relevant. It's frustrating.
