Changing the name eBay assigned to me...

eBay assigned a weird, random name for me and I REALLY want to change it. Does anyone know how to do that? I'd appreciate any help!

You must use a desktop.

Click on your Account tab in My eBay, click on Personal information, Click on Edit next to Registered name and address. Click Change next to Registration address. You will be asked to sign on to eBay, then you will get a screen that allows you to change your registered account info.

Your phone number, user id and email address is on this page also.

SO frustrating! I asked for an email confirming my identity but the 'Confirm' link in the email they sent me doesn't work. It's just dead. So.... I'm going to close out for now and try tomorrow.. didn't sleep last night and I'm just too tired to try more today. THANK YOU for the help. I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll get this all straightened.. will probably just call them.

I believe that changing your username is limited to once per month, so if this is a new account you may have to wait 30 days to be able to make a change.

Not sure if that limitation is related to the email issue or not, though.
