Cart Crashing

Okay, I cannot get any action related to my cart to complete without crashing — add an item, remove an item, save an item in the cart for later, even just viewing my cart is only working in about 1 out of 10 tries. I’ve tried using the app, I’ve opened eBay in my browser (Safari), and I’ve entered Classic Mode in my browser, and nothing will work. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I just updated the app, so that’s not the issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like a large part of eBay's system is currently down. 

Sellers cannot see their selling pages.

Buyers cannot see the purchase pages.

Shipping labels are down.

I can still go onto a listing and purchase items.

Do you have a lot of items in your cart? Leaving items in a cart long term can cause problems.

I have heard of users having problems with the cart, but unfortunately I am not able to offer much in the way of suggestions for dealing with that if deleting does not work.

I would suggest deleting items from your cart or saving them for later, if at all possible. For single item transactions, you do not need to use the cart at all. If you are unable to delete items, you may have to wait for those items to end or expire to be removed.

For multiple item transactions where you need to request an invoice, if your cart is still giving you problems, you may be able to use a cart on another site such as ebay.ca to request an invoice if the cart on ebay.com is not working for you. Each country site has an independent cart, so items in a cart on one site will not appear on another.

If your cart page is not loading at all, try another browser.

I tried to add an item to my cart just now, and the cart page would not load. Opening the cart page in another browser seemed to work though.

Returning to my usual browser - Firefox - I was able to get the cart to load successfully by disabling enhanced tracking protection on the cart page by using the shield icon that appears to the left of the page address:

After turning enhanced tracking protection off, I reloaded the page while holding down the shift key, and the cart loaded successfully.
