Can't change Hi (name) name.

Originally when I created my eBay account, I had used a nickname rather than my legal name. While attempting to change this, I noticed that although my "Personal Information" section of "My eBay" was updated, my "Hi (name)" portion did not reflect this change. According to some other related posts from the community, this was a problem in the past (around 2015) that had been resolved but seems to be resurfacing in recent years (2019 to now). Is there any way to fix this issue?

That's odd, as I have updated my name a couple of times and the "Hi" name always changes with it.  You may need to contact ebay about this to find out what the problem is.

I hope someone can help. 25 years ago I opened my account with my first middle and last name a few years ago I changed my first name to my nickname plus my first initial as my middle and my last name. EBay's new policy requiring everyone to provide driver's license utility bill with address Etc to prove Who You Are. They're wanting to shut me down and force me to open a new account because I cannot change my nickname back to my legal first name. Any suggestions on what I could do? I went in and changed it and I got an email from eBay two days later saying that was a policy violation I needed to change it back to my nickname or open a new account or they would cancel me.

Think there are two different things being talked about here. Pretty sure the OP is talking about their user name, not what is showing on their personal account information. 

I would suggest re-asking this question on a new post and be clear what help you need. Sounds like you need help with your actual account information not your username. People here could make suggestions with full information, but not help beyond that. 

You might try using eBay Facebook for business and send them a PM with your question with documentation/communication that you have received so far.
