I have sold these "Character Jugs" before, never could find the names of mine, There are Thousands of listings for Royal Doulton, and just did not have the time to do my research. Good Luck to you.
I see this face jug listed in a few places as "The Black Bill " (for the black conductor's cap). It's attributed to the French pottery Utzschneider and Company of Sarreguemines (famous for its majolica ware) and listed as shape # 7891. Says it was made in several sizes. Just some ideas from a quick web search. Regards
