Aprox 12" long. Blown glass. Questions I have: is this 18th century or 19th c relic type? French? The screw threaded tip is pewter. A couple of chips around the hammer area. Wheel engraved gilded decor. I think this is the most unusual piece from the collection, perhaps not the most valuable but pretty darned cool. I would think made for a man rather than a lady. The age of the pewter screw tip could be a big clue as to age. Where can I see other figural flasks? Any thoughts? Having trouble finding comparables. Thanks!

I do think this is a whimsical gentleman's liquer flask.
I suspect it dates from the mid to later 19th century based on the design and engraving.
I think your suspicion that this is a French opaline piece is probably correct, although I can't find a similar example to corraborate.
But very cool!
