Antique Teapot - Would love your input

I have this small teapot and I know nothing about it. Would love any opinion you may have about age and origin. Thanks!

If I absolutely had to id the maker, I would start with Shawnee. They made lots of unmarked small teapots, and some of the lids had a finial similar to the one on this teapot. Good luck!

I used to collect Shawnee pottery and I don't associate that color with it. The bottom is definitely not Shawnee. 

Something is saying "English" to me.

Yes, I think it may possibly be English... I can't find a similar example anywhere though...
