Recreating a Damaged Postcard

This 1908 ironing postcard illustrates a woman ironing, using a stand/sad iron heater with visible flame. This was fueled by a gas hose which probably connected to one of the room's gas light fixtures. I loved the theme of this postcard, despite its being in such terrible shape, and wanted to be able to include it in my next trivet book. The card itself is very brittle, cracked and ripped. My husband Ed used Adobe Photoshop to recreate the image to its former glory! Lynn

Recreating a Damaged Postcard

Hi Lynn, This is great and I would like to know how you did this. I have some old family photos that I would like to fix as you did this card. I have several programs on my computer but I guess my brain is just not that advance. Thanks Hillra email aqualls@citlink.net
