Greeff Balloon Toile fabric

I originally posted this on another board, and it was suggested I re-post it here, so here goes 🙂

I have acquired a large piece (enough for several pillows) of Greeff Balloon Toile, 1963.

It Is Red On White Print, however the fabric, while in perfect condition structually, has numerous age and browning spots.

As this is not my field, is there a safe way to clean it?

Would you clean it or sell it as-is?

Any price recommendation?

Many Thanks

Firstly, test to see if water makes the ink run.  If it does not, try soaking it in progressively warmer waters.  Then try adding the smallest amount of mild soap or baby shampoo, again starting with cold water and getting warmer for each bath.  If none of this works well enough, disolve oxi-clean in hot water and let it cool, then add to a tepid bath and let soak over a night or day.  With oxi one must rinse extremely thoroughly; seven rinses should be enough.

Thank you, I decided to go ahead and list it as-is, just in case, but have added your washing recommendations to the listing so that buyers can see your suggestion.

Again, thank you
