In this particular case, that user is no longer registered with eBay.
Probably not a good idea to contact anyone who emails or texts you referring to "your item" and wants you to text or call an out of state number, particularly if you are selling pickup-only vehicles. Messages referring to "your item" are often sent in large batches by spammers or scammers hoping to reel in potential victims who can be enticed into an unprotected outside-of-eBay "transaction".
If you do contact that number, it is likely they will offer to send you a larger than expected cashier's check to deposit in your bank, and ask you to wire some cash to their "shipping company" who they say will arrive in three days to pick up "your item", but who actually never show up. Later, your bank will contact you to let you know the cashier's check was no good, but the money you wired will be long gone by then.
