Wrong Alternator

I bought an alternator for a 1996 Chevy truck.  The seller sent me a generator for a 1946 Buick.  After rebuilding all of the connection points, and making totally new brackets, I discovered that my alternator is computer controlled but the one for the 1946 Buick is not.

What can I do?

Wrong Alternator

I checked those listings.  I am looking for one with under 3,000 miles, factory climate control, anti-lock brakes and six air bags.

A great stereo would be good too.

The only navigation systems that I see offered are a compass.  Those must have been base models that I saw.

I just don't understand why they don't have any leftover 1949 models.  Seems odd...

Would it be too late to order a 1950 model with a Volvo engine?
