I am painting a couple of VIA rail locos and can't find any decent photos, does anyone know of a good site to check, I have been googling for about 3 hours and still can't find any photos, HELP! Barry....lost in the net ]:)

another favorite place to search for pictures is: ask.com Put in your search then on the top go to pictures. (in your case via rail) There are tons of them there!

Barry, That ask.com site has a lot of pictures. Click "images" at the right side, put "VIA rail" in the box and hit search. What engines are you looking for? Maybe you can specify that in the search box. B-)

I have had a look at the ASK site, and tried all the listings I can think of, still nothing on the RS11 or the SW12 locos, I know they were there,I have the decals just need the photos so I know where the black is, the E9s and FAs had yellow faces and black roofs, are the rear ends blue or black, this may help as the only image I can get for the RS is an artist rendition totally side on shows the blue body, yellow radiator on the long hood and black on the hood tops and roof of the cab, I just don't know about the ends, this is what I need, HELP me. Barry...still looking :?)

I spent about two hours this morning looking and could only find small pictures which I'm sure you hacve seen. Nothing you could see really. Barry, why don't you email VIA Rail and see if they will help you? Just a thought. B-)

Seems the one I am looking for was a one of loco and very short lived in the system the only available info is a couple of artists impressions and no one knows if the ends were black, I'm gonna go with similar to the E8 or FA scheme, yellow nose and black rear, and as it was run long hood forward, the radiator forward will be yellow, I will post a photo when done. Barry...thanks for trying 😉

Barry, Just a thought if it is that hard to come up with a picture or info on that particular paint scheme then any thing close to it will work. You then can post pictures of it on the internet and see if there are old timers that may be able to correct if wrong or reaffirm if your paint is right! Then you will be the expert. Gene

Most fallen flag railroads have some type of historic society. See if you can find and email them the question. Or just email them a picture of the engine when fisihed. There just maybe a member who will know the answer. Lou
