The Daily Moose

Here is a link to Bar Mills Models on-line newspaper and information station. Art has 4 new on-line videos that you might find interesting. The first two are about Bar Mills Models itself. The next two are instructive videos. One on different types of glues and their use and the other on the new Bar Mills weathering powders. There are also pictures of some of the kits available. Enjoy. http://barmillsmodels.com/dailymoose_05A_05.html

OK now this is scarry!!!!!:O Dave are you trying to tell us that your birthday is the 24th of April? Well so is Kim's. We went out for a big Easter/Birthday brunch at our fave restaurant and waddled out of there. Didn't eat the rest of the day. So belated Happy Easter to all and a big happy B-day to Dave. :^O B-) yup, 24 is the day. (too bad it is the same # as Jeff Gordon.) However, I was born before him so he should be so lucky to use my number. ]:) -- Edited by dl85vette at 04/25/2011 7:13 PM PDT

Pete you know I find this quite funny, when I was a whole lot younger I used to ride a 500 single AJS with a group of fairly rigid bikers, we used to hang out at a particular pub and the publican had brass name tags made up for each of us to put on the coat rack behind where we used to sit, usually with our nickname engraved on them, one of the guys had the brightest, curliest long red hair and we all called him scarey, I cracked up when I saw you refer to the date being scarry as this is what the publican had engraved on his tag, it may not be funny to others but to me it raised a few memories LOL ]:)

Didn't we all have nick-names growing up? The kids in my town were called: Mouse, Cat, Scrooge, Big and Little Rabbit (brothers), Skunk, Bouncer, Four Eyes and Buckey. Sounds like something from Our Gang comedies doesn't it. Can you guess which one was me? I didn't pickup Ginzo Kid until college, or the Codfadda until here. B-)

You are late! Just got my tax refund yesterday. Well, actually it was Kim's. I owed, she got a refund. Silly system. We should be able to file jointly, but the stupid Bloc prevents this in Quebec, so no one else can do it....right? Would they please secede from Canada? ]:)

I can't sit done for a week. I just love working in Canada. I think the tax system here is swell and more than fair to the middle class, and I am thankful that we do our taxes so that we will not shortchange the revenue agency. X-( X-( X-( I got ForKED again this year big time. grrr!!! Not enuf taxes came out of my pension. Plus the same situation with CP Rail, despite me even having an extra $20 per pay come out for tax. It's ok really, I didn't have a use for $2700. X-( Felt like throwing up in the tax office. Think I will mail my cheque to the CRA with a brick tied to it and mail it to them C.O.D. What's the &*^^%% point of even working at home depot on thurs & fridays (my excess days off from military) I'll just pay more tax, whatever I make clear will go to gas driving to home depot. Middle guy really gets ahead in this country. Entering a model contest today. Entering my cutaway nascar and couple of superbikes.

Went to the model show. It was held in a Legion so sort of small turnout. Registered, displayed my stuff and went home as it would be too long of a day there. Went back later with wife and looked around and waited for awards. I must have been the dark horse, being a complete nobody and walked away with some awards. :-D (entered my cutaway nascar, my 1/12 ducati and the 1/9 telefonica superbike. I got silver for the superbike and a gold for the ducati. It was a rather ironic twist of fate, modelling cars for decades and built 3 bikes in past year and the bikes won awards.

I am impressed he was able to squeeze it in between golf and parties. Anyway, this may be the last freebie he had left from George Bush, now that foreigner murderous enemy combatant terrorists have the same constitutional rights as I do, and even more I am sure. After all we would not want these blood thirsty bad-evil's to feel we were profiling them... Sad state of affairs, Charles
