The Daily Moose

Here is a link to Bar Mills Models on-line newspaper and information station. Art has 4 new on-line videos that you might find interesting. The first two are about Bar Mills Models itself. The next two are instructive videos. One on different types of glues and their use and the other on the new Bar Mills weathering powders. There are also pictures of some of the kits available. Enjoy. http://barmillsmodels.com/dailymoose_05A_05.html

Or maybe it is like coming and going. Only in your case you are always on the go. Either that or there must be some quantum singularity with a fold in space. I know you are stuck on a mobius strip. Charles My mobios hasn't been stripped in years.....darn! ]:) -- Edited by ginzokid at 01/31/2009 4:02 AM PST

It's still Sunday night here and I just had a bit of excitement in the laundry, the cat went to have some dinner and Fay was right behind her, they both screamed and I went to see what sort of spider they had found, no spider but a 4 1/2 foot brown snake on the floor, these are one of the deadliest in the world, I kid you not, I grabbed a big knife from the kitchen and waited for it to reappear from under the water heater, I stabbed it and pinned it to the wall, Fay got the spade from outside and I then pinned it to the floor and was able to remove one very upset head, enough excitement for one night I can tell you. ]:)

Jack I didn't have time while it lived and now the meat ants in the paddock have nearly finished their treat LOL ]:) Meat ants? Are those like the army ants of South America that actually eat meat? Remember "The Naked Jungle"? -- Edited by ginzokid at 02/02/2009 3:57 AM PST

Yep, these are the Australian version, little black suckers about 1/3 of an inch long that will try to eat you if you stand still long enough, a few years ago a drunk aboriginal fell asleep under the local sawmill, just happens there was a big meat ants nest right beside his bed for the night by the time the police intervened he was dead with no face and the ants were well into his internal organs, doesn't pay to get drunk in the bush. ]:)

I'd hate to see what's left of the Uncles!! Awhile ago we had a local weatherman, Chris Brandolino, go with his family to Australia to be a weatherman on one of the TV stations (can't remember which one) but now we are told that he will return in January 2010 (albeit to a different station than he was with when he left The Syracuse, NY market) to our area and I can't help but wonder why he found Australia not so welcoming. Maybe he had some run ins with the local flora and fauna. I can't say as I particularly liked his reporting when he was last here and can't for the life of me figure out why the local station that hired him back here push his hiring almost a year earlier than his return. Shame you have missed the steam experience, one of the things I liked most when I was there, I still don't count rivets LOL. ]:)
