Dave,
You sound like an old man! What do the tests say? Any prognosis?
My back is killing me from all the bending I did the last three days, but everything looks good now. So what does it do today? Rain!
You flooded out yet? We need some rain so what we are getting is OK by me.
Back to the dungeon for me until the sun shines again.

I wish you could send some of your rain to us, our place is all dried out and turning into a total dust bowl, I spent all last weekend clearing some pretty atrocious bushes from the front fence and burning the damn things once I got them piled up, my back gave out on Monday morning so for the rest of the week TV has been my friend, I have to go shopping in the morning and not really looking forward to it at all,by the way Dave, you didn't miss much with the Aussie V8 race, such is life.

I see my cardio specialist Thurs a.m. so we'll see what he has to say about the ling scan and ultrasound. Still waiting to hear from lung specialist at the pulmonary clinic for an appt. Cripes, someone gotta make a call soon as far as medication requirement,etc...
I'm getting bummed out as I can't do a helluva lot. It's be different if I had a cast on lower leg and can't work but could hobble around at mall, stain fence, most importantly model build, etc.
soon time to blow some dust off a model kit and try to work a little at a time. B-)
No flooding here, at least not in my neighborhood. All the flooding that occurs is along the Red River. Even the bad years in past doesn't affect 95% of Winnipeg city residents.
Supposedly the river hasn't peaked yet, end of may it was predicted I believe.
Saw something where Fargo wasn't going to get hit as hard as expected.
Farmers will get hit hard if it is late flooding. Usually this happens in April and they still have time to get crops planted by late May.
Just glad it is acting like spring here for temps. What a looong winter.

Who is doing what for Mother's Day? Looks good enough for us to bbq tonight. This morning Kim wanted a frittata which I made for her. Princess gave her a card. She doesn't like candy or flowers, so it is easy on me.
😄
Might be hiding on this one due to health. Other night wife prepped the meat and prepared veggies and I just handled the bbq part and it was enuf for my limit. 😐
Saw cardio dr the other day. lung scan didn't show any clots or embolisms. The ultrasound confirmed what they figured my heart was doing/not doing. felt like a useless visit. wasn't in much of a mood afterwards.
Still waiting to hear from a lung specialist for an appt. X-( downside to free healthcare in Canada. Take a number. you got people with cancer, etc waiting forever to get MRI done,etc.. Trip to Emerg sped things up somewhat as the specialist now knows I took a turn for the worse, and got a battery of tests done, otherwise, the specialist would be ordering the tests one by one.

We spent a very quiet day, Fay heard from the kids during the day and the cat gave her a nice bottle of perfume, I said I would do dinner but my back gave out again(no bs) so we had pies chips and gravy, not quisine but tasty and filling.

our kid outdid himself this time. He made us brunch and he made us a pizza for supper. 😄
I ended up spending the day and most of evening in bedroom watching tv.

We didn't do a whole lot, but dinner with the kids in school at Midlothian (Frostburg) and then down at Boyds (Frederick). The kids got Sandy some cards and flowers, and a couple gifts. We just spent a chunk of cash on a 2013 used Dodge Journey, and fancy TV, so those are our Mother's - Father's Day, Birthday and Christmas presents for a while.... My Mom went in the hospital Mother's day for an infection and fluid in the lungs, so she is a wreck, but keeping her sense of humor.

PS, so far it is nice being retired, and busy, tons of projects I can work on, so it is more enjoyable, no stinky stuff from work and people fussing about their schedules (or something like that...)

Your lucky, when it is really cold here my fingers don't work, it's been bloody cold here the last few days with a little rain, just enough to turn the dust to slush.

You're into the fall now aren't you Barry. Our days are almost at their longest now and if the sun would shine we could bbq at 10PM.

Finally some good news. Had the car in to the dealer for a thorough going over and inspection, Turns out that the only thing wrong with it is the broken air conditioner, which we already knew. So.....we have decided to fix that and keep the car for another year. The mechanic said it is in great shape with no rust and solid suspension etc. I guess we will look for a 2014 next fall.
Finally some sun shine and warmer weather. Cut the entire lawn yesterday. It finally dried out enough to do it. I thought I would have to by some sheep soon!

What year is your car? should last ya longer.
My truck is a '98 and I am gonna drive it in the ground. Don't got the money for a new truck anyways but when my truck is washed and interior cleaned/shampooed, there isn't much difference sitting in a new truck other than the new truck has the "new" smell. What's on my side is I've been keeping it rustchecked until last year and I am in the praries so they body shouldn't rot anytime soon. Still gotta beat my fathers record. His abused worktruck had 355,000km, I have 275,000
