Just learned about a product called pot toppers artificial grass appearing stuff that goes on top of the soil of a potted plant. Available at Michaels craft store and a good substitute for expensive Silflor. Model Railroad Magazine's Cody's Office video segment mentioned it. Went earlier to Michaels and bought two packages of the 6" pot toppers. They cost $2.99 each - less than that for the 4" size). Much cheaper than silflor and that Noch static grass machine that you have to have a ground for. Picked up some paint and wood and a nice 8x10 frame for a picture I plan to enter into a show. also picked up a Hops Field on ebay for the Hop house area. It's HO so I may have to alter the height of the plants. Then again... Gene

I saw that segment of Cody's office too and will have to check into the Michael's here to see it they carry it. The link you gave shows that the fibers are quite long. I believe they would look better on my O gage layout than the HO one shown. I'll see when ever I get over to the far side of town. B-)
