The two best teams play each other today? As I recall, the Steelers beat New England SOUNDLY when they played a couple of months ago! Even though their win yesterday wasn't a stellar performance, Pittsburgh still had the best record in the NFL at 15-1.
Let us not forget that Indianapolis finished with a 12-4 regular season record, so they are not invincible.
New England already has a home win over the Colts 27-24 during week one of the 2004 season, and they took a wild card to get into the play-offs.
The Colts also lost to the;
Jaguars 27-24 week 7 in Jacksonville
Chiefs 45-35 week 8 in Kansas City
Broncos 33-14 week 17 in Denver
New England has already lost a game in Pittsburgh 34-20, week 8. They also lost a shocker in Miami 29-28, week 15.
Stats are only stats, and if we looked at the stats only, the games would be over before they are even played, ergo the old adage "on any given Sunday".
You will see an entirely different team on the field for Pittsburgh next week, mark my words.
See you in Jacksonville Coach Cower!
Heading out now to buy another Terrible Towel! Anybody else want one?
