iOS app upgrade, older versions no longer supported

If you have been notified to update your eBay app, here are the steps to take to get the latest version onto your device. You need to have iOS 14 or higher to get the latest version from the Apple App Store 

• Open the App Store app on your device 
• Search for eBay app in the App Store 
• Select ‘Update’ button next to the eBay app title

iOS 12 - If your device is running iOS 12 you might be able to install an older version from the App Store 

• Delete the ebay app from the device
• Open the app store app
• Tap account button
• Tap Purchased
• Scroll to the eBay app and tap the cloud and down arrow icon

If your device cannot be upgraded to iOS 12 you can use the Safari browser to access ebay.

I have an iPad2, iOS9, and eBay is open ALL THE TIME for my wife's convenience. Today, a message window appears with "This version has expired. Please update your app now. Exit/Update".

Update opens AppStore, which says that the product I want isn't available in the United States.

Do not! tell me I can shop in the f&%#ing browser. How can I get eBay running like it was, oh, yesterday?

It's crazy that developers have absolutely no insight to the workings of an eBay  shopper !

we sit on the couch browsing and buying from the lounge , thanks to this update I will not be in the home office browsing and I won't be buying a newer iPad just so l can eBay .

l see a lot of lost revenue in eBays future !

l hope this unnessisary upgrade was worth it .

No, but this is not support. This is an APP. eBay can leave the old APPs available, and not disable them. But they have chosen to turn them off.

Not cool eBay. I would think you already make enough money off of us why can't you continue to support us with you app. Such a disappointment!

So true! Not the best time to make changes. Not everyone has ability to go to a store or the money right now to buy a new device. There are still millions of people who are staying and working at home., especially lots of long time ebayers.

Ebay clearly don't want the business or they are getting a kick back from Apple to force us to upgrade.

I've been a member for 21 years. Thanks, I know what a browser is for.

EBay is a small luxury, not a necessity. If you make your small luxury just a little bit less convenient, it transforms from small luxury to minor annoyance.

eBay abandoned my perfectly functional tablet. I'll use eBay much less, if at all.

That's two iPads I can no longer use the eBay app in a month. Just a means for apple to make some more money. That's the last time I buy another apple device
