What operating system version? What version of the eBay app are you using?

If your operating system is new enough but you are having problems updating the eBay app, try uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your device, then installing the latest version. If you are using Android 11 or higher be sure you have the latest version of Google Play Services & Google Play Store.
