This is driving me nuts! It wants my Apple ID, but there is nowhere to type it - only the password box. It won’t accept my password without the ID

If you open the app there should be a sign in button and that will allow you to sign in with your Apple ID or your ebay account.
We are not sure what screen you are on, it sounds like you might be in the App Store?
