After the recent app update, when I click the web site search window its blank rather than showing the searches done on the app..this is frustrating since I have to manually input each search. Is there any way to contact Ebay support to fix this?

Are you certain you are signed in to the same account on both devices?
I just tried a search using the eBay app, then opened a searched item listing.
Then using a browser on my desktop signed in to the same eBay account I could see the latest item appear in the "Recently Viewed" list, and the search term appeared in the "recent searches" displayed when clicking on the search bar.
If that is not happening for you, it might be worth signing out and signing back in on each device.
