I am extremely upset about your latest android app enhancements. It makes my
searches next to useless by the way it handles them now. If my searches come
up empty, you now apply a PORTION of the original search criteria to all of
ebay!! Sounds wonderful, right? It finds things you might ordinarily miss. All
to the good. GARBAGE! Try searching for XLT sizes in women's clothes. If there
is nothing new, your search will now provide THOUSANDS of results of Ford XLT
parts, Polaris snowmobile parts or XLT clothes from the men's clothes, NONE of
which are anything close to what I'm looking for. That's just ONE example.
Because it is now the default, EVERY search is indicating something new, but
that's not the worst! If, by chance, I look at a search and it has actually
found something and I then move on, withing 30 seconds the 'new search item'
indicator comes back on that search and when the search is checked it
immediately tells me 0 items were found but we've searched all of ebay for
you!! Here are THOUSANDS of items you missed! Aren't you lucky! In other
words, the new items found indicator is useless!
I've been a member a long time. I've seen other ill-thought-out ideas over
that time. I recognize you have eager beavers trying to get noticed and make a
name for themselves. But don't you have ANYBODY that can oversee them and vet
any hair-brained idea they have BEFORE it is implemented? You keep trying to
fix something that isn't broken. Please stop. In this case, AT A MINIMUM, you
should give us the option of turning this "enhancement" off! Ideally, you will
get rid of this garbage.
This has upset me more than any other piece of garbage you've output as an
"enhancement". Enough so that if it isn't fixed I'll stop using my tablet
which means my purchases will go way down because that is how I search for
items. The computer is more of a pain to use, but right now ANYTHING is better
than the app as it stands.
